About
This zine is an unofficial, fan-made project in celebration of Team the Ren from the Shaman King series. We are a small fanzine in search of talented writers and artists who love the characters and dynamics of Team the Ren. All of the characters and series involved belong to their original creators and copyright holders.
General Information
- We aim to have approximately 5 writers, 5-8 artists, and 2-3 merch designers. This is a small project, and we will only have a small number of contributors to create the best product and give our boys the best homage we can.
- All contributors will receive a physical copy of the zine and any accompanying merch absolutely free of charge. No monetary contribution for shipping or merchandise cost is necessary.
- The zine will be priced to break even, and any potential, unintentional profit will go toward future fanzine projects.
- We are still in the process of deciding our schedule and our specific theme. If you would like to suggest anything, fill out our interest check.
About Submissions
- Contributors are allowed to submit multiple pieces to the final product. If any contributors would like to submit more than one fic and/or art piece, we absolutely encourage that.
- Writing submissions must not exceed 2000 words. Editing assistance is available to all contributors and may be required for inclusion in the final product. Our preferred format is a Google Doc, but DOC/DOCX, ODT, and RTF are also allowed.
- All artwork must be 300-DPI in CMYK and RGB, using the provided template. Single pages and double page spreads must have a background and be fully colored, but comics/manga and spot illustrations for any of the included fics do not need the same level of completion. Our preferred format is PDF, but PSD, PNG, and JPG are also allowed.
- Contributors cannot share their zine content in full until 3 months after the release date. Small sections or snippets can be used as promotional content, but the pieces are not allowed to be shared in full. After the zine has been released and available for sale for 3 months, contributors are welcome to share their content.
